We place our trust in the professional capabilities of our staff and we have found that we get a positive response to this approach. We are constantly re-investing in Pippins Day Care to ensure our staff, children and parents are as happy as possible.

In childcare environments standards and compliance are key. As a matter of course we use Safer Recruitment processes as defined by our local authority when hiring new staff. We employ professionally qualified personnel to deliver our services (qualified to NVQ level 3, with a mixture of Level 1 and Level 2 safeguarding certifications). The individuals involved have a variety of work-related qualifications to meet our quality goals. We have excellent staff certifications for paediatric first aid and food hygiene.

Little Pippins Ltd was set up as a childcare business in 2017. It is a limited company with four equal shareholders. The skills profile of the owners is wide ranging.

Educational knowledge comes from Lynn Dunn who is a recently retired primary school teacher. She has worked in teaching, senior management and headteacher positions in primary education.

The entrepreneurial capacity in Pippins Daycare comes from Nigel Cox, a local business owner who has held senior positions in major international IT companies as well as many smaller, global application software businesses. Nigel is now voluntarily active in the local community as a member of the Victory Hall Management Committee and current Finance Chair of the Lower Penn Parish Council.
